Writing and Death

The author enters into his own death, writing begins

Roland Barthes

Writing begins when the writer dies by entering into a space where the sign effaces and renders absent through referring to another sign which refers to another, infinitely. In every text there is a lack marking an absence that has been given over to words; that is, to write is to be written by what is being written as a certain trace hiding behind a letter, living by incessantly dying, appearing by disappearing.

    1. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, I have not read them yet. But I think they are very important.
I have noticed that you read Anna Akhmatova; she is a great poet.
